For almost 30 years, we have been providing professional assistance to people who are addicted, sick, in difficult situations or have wronged due to various reasons. Our Foundation is the Polish branch of the international organization International Federation of Blue Cross based in Bern, Switzerland, which has 41 branches worldwide.
In Poland, we run therapeutic centers in Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec, Czechowice-Dziedzice and Pszczyna. They provide both group and individual therapy for people addicted to psychoactive substances and behavioral addiction (e.g. addicted to gambling, computers, the Internet, telephones, shopping, work, sex or pornography). We help co-dependent individuals and Adult Children of Alcoholics.
Additionally, in Bielsko-Biała there is Withdrawal syndrome treatment department, i.e. a detoxification ward and a Re-adaptation Center for individuals addicted (or at risk of addiction), homeless people, or recently released from prison.
We train professionals who work with addicts and their families, educate therapists, conduct study visits to partner hospitals and addiction treatment centers abroad. We also organize conferences related to the topic of working with addicts and their family members addressed to professionals who help people in need.
In addition, we deal with mediation which involves resolving disputes outside the courtroom, with the presence of an impartial mediator.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide professional assistance to people in need in accordance with the Christian vision of humanity.
We are convinced that our task is also to spread knowledge about contemporary threats, as well as to raise public awareness about the possibilities of treatment and support for people who have fallen into addiction and their loved ones. We believe that we have been given a life that can be full of passion, driven by personal development, focus on overcoming one's own limitations and free of addiction.
