Behavioral addiction

In our centers, we provide therapy for people addicted to gambling or other activities, as well as therapy for loved ones and families. At the Municipal Addiction Therapy Center in Bielsko-Biała, we provide several forms of therapy, e.g. the Daily Behavioral Addiction Unit. This therapeutic offer can be used by people with addictions to activities such as gambling, workaholism, internet addiction, shopping addiction, sex addiction, etc. In addition to traditional ways of working with people struggling with addiction, we have introduced innovative and interesting methods of therapeutic work such as: bibliotherapy, film therapy, music therapy, art therapy, choreotherapy. There is a program based on working with resources, building alternative ways of spending free time, searching for hobbies, the continuation of which may be a factor contributing to maintaining abstinence and sobriety.

The program lasts for 10 weeks, and classes are held from Monday to Friday, working participants receive sick leave for the period of participation in the program. We offer accommodation and meals for the duration of the DOUB.

After completing the DOUB, the patient can continue treatment in the intensive group, and then in the more in-depth group, thus complete the full cycle of addiction therapy.

If it is not possible to receive therapy in the ward while on sick leave, the patient may take part in a basic group for people addicted to gambling or other activities, and then continue in an in-depth group for people addicted to gambling or other activities.

We also provide therapy for people addicted to sex and pornography.
