The Readaptation Center was founded in 2005. It operates as part of the Silesian Blue Cross Foundation. The Readaptation Center is a stationary residential, semi-open facility for men.
The center is intended for individuals struggling with addiction, mainly to alcohol and gambling, and those at risk of social exclusion.
The facility provides accommodation and meals for 18 residents. Residents function according to a model based on a therapeutic community, while the therapy itself takes place at the day wards of therapeutic facilities belonging to the Foundation.
The following people can benefit from a free stay at the center:
-residents of Bielsko-Biała,
- people addicted to activities (behavioral addictions),
-people who have recently been released from prison (within 3 months of release).
The cost of stay for people not mentioned above is PLN 1,000/month.
The facility offers the possibility of residence for the full therapy period lasting approximately one year. For residents who are in the stages of in-depth therapy, it is possible to take up gainful employment outside the center. After completing therapy, it is possible to live in the Foundation's post-rehabilitation hostel.
