Behavioral Addiction Clinics for children and adolescents - pilot program of the Ministry of Health
We are entering the new year with an important offer targeted at children, teenagers and parents. On January 17, 2022, Behavioral Addiction Clinics for Children and Youth in Czechowice-Dziedzice and Pszczyna started operating. They are part of the pilot program of the Ministry of Health and operate under a contract with the National Health Fund. The program will last until June 2023, and its conclusions will be used for further activities aimed at children and young people, as well as to determine the scale of the problem related to the use of new technologies. It is important to estimate to what extent children and adolescents use new technologies problematically, to what extent they struggle with addiction, and to what extent prevention will be sufficient.
The Foundation was selected as one of ten institutions throughout Poland (and the only one in our region) to carry out this task.
Forms of therapy:
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
- Individual psychotherapy sessions
- Diagnostic advice
Duration of treatment: short-term therapy up to 3 months and long-term therapy 6 months or more.
Group therapy interventions aimed at children and adolescents within 3 age groups:
Group I - up to 4th grade of primary school
Group II - 5-8 grade primary school
Group III - youth from secondary schools
We are also planning a therapeutic group for parents.
